Changes are a Comin'

Well we have BIG things going on here at Ashleigh Dees Photography. For those of you that don't keep track of us personally, I have decided NOT to return to the classroom and teaching next year. I love teaching, but I also love my sweet babies who will not stay little forever. Along with that I have felt recently like I am spread too thin. I am trying to keep up with so many things that I am not feeling really successful at any of them. I have decided to prioritize, simplify and choose the things that make me most happy. At this point in life those things are photography and my babies. They actually go together perfectly. Not returning to my full time teaching job in the fall will allow me to make my own schedule (within reason) and stay at home with my babies. This also means that I leave the comfort of a steady income and rely on my photos to pay the bills. This is an unknown territory for me, and I will admit, a little scary! So, this summer while Casey is at home to help, I will return back to using my first college degree of communications/public relations. I will be thinking about how to market myself, increase my business, and begin trying to build lasting relationships with local businesses and organizations. I will have new promotions and invest in some more equipment and continue striving to research, practice and make myself a better photographer. All of this is VERY exciting to me. I am SO ready to take this to the next level.
