Granny Turns 92!!!

Happy Birthday Granny! One of the perks to being a real photographer is getting to take pictures for your relatives, especially at special events like Granny's 92nd birthday! Casey and I were talking tonight at dinner about how blessed we are to still have 3 of our grandparents alive. We started thinking of all that they have experienced and all the knowledge they have stored up from all the life they have lived. It is amazing, and we are so grateful!
Anyway last weekend Granny turned 92, and her children thought she deserved a big celebration. That is exactly what she got. I hope the pictures show you have precious this little lady is! Love you Granny!
The lady of the hour!

The YUMMY cake!
The children who were responsible for the big birthday bash! :)
And Granny had so many friends!

Isn't she cute?
Who is that handsome man? :) I couldn't resist!

The men sitting around talking...this was the perfect picture of South Georgia! Love it!

Happy 92nd Birthday Granny!

We're Back!!!!

I realized today that it had been 2 weeks since we had updated the blog. THANK YOU to all of you who continue to check it despite our slackness. There are several things that are contributing to the lack of blogging lately, and I wanted to fill you in. First of all, we started back to work. Yes as you know we have "real jobs" that pay the bills with the hopes that one day our business will be productive enough that maybe we could only take pictures (at least that is a hope of mine!). This means we have not had the time to take pictures that we did during the summer. This also means that students are back at school, and so we have not had the sessions we did during the summer. I think most people are focused on getting school started and not on getting pictures made. The last reason, which is actually very exciting, is we recently found out we were expecting another baby. We are VERY excited, but pregnancy does not do nice things to me. I stay extremely sick and tired the first trimester. I was this way with Cameron, and I feel like it has been even worse with baby #2. I am hoping that I will come out of this soon and starting feeling like my old self again. With all of this said, PLEASE do not hesitate to book sessions. I miss taking pictures, and I really want some booked sessions soon! I have several booked through the fall (October and November) and a couple of portrait parties coming up in the next few weeks, so the blog will be up and hopping again soon! Until then keep us in your prayers as this little one begins to grow. It is still extremely early, so we are hoping he or she is able in hang in there and grow strong. I wanted to include a few pictures of how we spread the news. We thought we would let Cameron make the big announcement...bless his heart; he doesn't know what is going to happen!

Hallie and Payton

I have found out now that I have been doing this for a little while that children have their own agenda. As a photographer who loves working with children, I have learned very quickly you just adjust to their plans, and the pictures take care of themselves. When Katie told me about this big, beautiful old house her friend was letting us use for pictures, I had all of these fabulous ideas for portraits. I ended up chasing Hallie most of the time, and taking pictures where she wanted, and I think they turned out even better than the ones I had planned. I LOVE when babies start getting a real personality. It is happening with my 15 month old right now, but my girl Hallie is FULL of such a fun personality, and I hope these pictures captured it for you! Enjoy!

Sweet girls, but don't let Hallie fool you...
she isn't tired at all! :)

Sweet Payton finally got her a little nap!
This one cracks me up! Hallie was telling ME to be quiet!
Beautiful babies!
Isn't she just adorable?

This girl LOVED the swing!

This one is hilarious to me! This is the smile Hallie had been perfecting all week. What is funny is how similar it is to Payton's face when she cries. These girls are too fun!

Look at this awesome house we had as our playground. Thanks Katie! I had so much fun with you and your girls!

Kara and Justin

Isn't is always amazing to see two people TOTALLY in love? Well, meet Kara and Justin! They both literally glow around each other they are so happy! I have really been wanting to take some engagement pictures because I thought they would be fun. Kara was the brave girl who allowed me to try my talent out on them, and I had SO MUCH FUN! I really hope to book more engagement sessions in the future. It isn't hard to make two extremely happy people look amazing. These two were up for anything, and their session definitely turned out to be one of my all-time favorites. Enjoy them!

The happy couple!

Aren't they sweet?

Love this one!

So happy together!

Skylar and Colt

I had the opportunity to hang out with Skylar, Colt, their sweet mama Brooke and Brooke's mom early one morning last weekend. The weather kept teasing us. It would be raining one minute and the sun was out the next, but we didn't let that stop us! We just changed plans, changed outfits and waited on the weather to cooperate. I had so much fun with these sweet boys. Skylar was so hilarious and such a good sport when we ran into an incident with some ants, while Colt was a perfect baby and SUPER cute. Brooke said she wanted some "priceless" pictures of her boys, so I hope I was able to capture some for her!
So sweet!
This is one of my all time favorites!
And even baby Colt had his turn on the railroad tracks (don't worry the train doesn't come through on these anymore!).

Love the light in this one!
Sleepy baby! Being cute can wear a little guy out!

CUTENESS!

Gotta love a baby who smiles!
